New video card now, or wait for Vista and DX10?
After spending the weekend installing and using beta 2 of Vista on my primary system I have decided to revert back to Windows 2000 Professional. This is one very disappointing OS. OTOH, I've started using it exclusively. This is one very exciting OS. I'm with Snit...what do you find exciting about it?

And now it's Vista, or Vistas, or probably *Visa* or MasterCard, but that's getting OT. Oh well, life moves on. WMP 11 Vista will not start
Yeap that's very disappointing when I see that. I originally was on of the few who had to pay the $140 for the modem and Ethernet card. My dad already has a track record with Bell.. they screwed him out of a Vista-phone warranty service, and he had to get it fixed elsewhere. It took almost a year to resolve,

Herrmann Estate statement on VERTIGO restoration
What I am saying is the OS is very disappointing that 32 bit applications don't run fully as promised, and I am disappointed that I have to put the 64 bit XP on the side and not use it for about four years, by then Vista will be out. It is very disappointing that 32 Bit applications run in a limping mode,

Vista: Very Disappointing
I've gone back to XP (Vista is on one box for testing), I can't believe we've waited for 5/6 years and this is what has been produced. Very disappointing indeed, big hat no knickers I'm afraid. I can only agree with the last bit Jeff. I've got Vista on another partition but no way I'm going to be using it for

Very disappointing. Initial title card is not shown ("Buena Vista Film Distribution Company" yada yada yada), just a black screen. Faded or mistimed first reel. Sound digitially remastered (MONO, thank you Jesus, Joseph AND Mary), with a tremendous number of digital artifacts all throughout the entire film.

Vista: Very Disappointing
Once I understood these "Features" I have had a very good experience with Vista. I have been able to load and run all the old software that I had bought for my 3.1 system and my 98 system, using a USB 3.5 drive. All in all, not too shabby. The gymnasium and spa facilities on this ship were very disappointing. Regular workouts are an integral part of my life and I really enjoy a ship that has a great gym, as well as a sauna and steam Every time a guest complained about the quality of the food or service they were told "this is a vista class ship".

I am a student who just recently purchased a HP PC that came pre-installed with Windows Vista and OFfice 2007. This included Word 2007. Will FSX run better under Vista and DX10 - or better under DX9 and XP, which means I could buy it now? Just worried that nVidia will launch something better in the spring to take and the reports I have seen showing 7950 performance against 7900 for games that are not tuned for SLI is very disappointing.
